Press ReleasesMarch 20, 2008Dr. John K. Mariani named Director of Orthopaedic Service Line at Kennedy Voorhees, NJ – Orthopaedic surgeon John K. Mariani, D.O., has been appointed Director of the Orthopaedic Service Line for Kennedy Memorial Hospitals-University Medical Center. In his new position, Dr. Mariani will take a leadership role in the design, implementation and operation of a comprehensive orthopaedics program for the multi-hospital healthcare system. He will lead the effort to transition Kennedy’s Orthopaedic Program to an Orthopaedic Center of Excellence, providing state of the art services for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. A 1981 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), Dr. Mariani completed his internship at the Hospital of the PCOM and his residency at Kennedy Memorial Hospitals – University Medical Center. Over the years, Dr. Mariani served on the Board of Trustees for Kennedy Memorial Hospitals and as Chief of its Medical Staff. Dr. Mariani, a member of Academy Orthopaedics, with offices in Voorhees and Washington Township, NJ, has been active in innovative approaches to total knee replacement, including custom fit procedures. Board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics. Dr. Mariani, who was named to the “Top Docs” list of SJ magazine in 2007, resides with his family in Haddonfield, NJ. |
